Quality Standards

Moving Boxes stocks only professional grade moving supplies and shipping boxes the same high quality moving boxes and supplies used by professional movers across Canada.

All our boxes are designed to withstand a minimum 32 ECT or 65 lbs of load.

The Edge Crush Test (ECT) is a performance test that is directly related to the stacking strength of a box. ECT is a measure of the edge compression strength of a corrugated box side wall. It is measured by compressing a small segment of the box side wall on edge between two rigid plates perpendicular to the direction of the flutes until a peak load is established. This is measured in pounds per lineal inch of load (lb/in), but usually reported as an ECT value (for example, 32 ECT).
